The Community Medical Clinic of Kershaw County announced a significant expansion of its healthcare services, increasing income eligibility limits to 250% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). This change dramatically expands access to no-cost medical care for working individuals and families throughout the county
“No one should have to choose between putting food on the table and seeking medical care,” said Charlotte Rankin, CEO of the Community Medical Clinic. “This expansion ensures that quality healthcare is accessible to more neighbors working hard to make ends meet.”
Under the new guidelines, individuals and families at the following income levels can now qualify for comprehensive medical services:
- Single individuals earning up to $39,125 annually
- Families of three with household incomes up to $66,625
- Households of five members earning up to $94,125
For 25 years, the Community Medical Clinic has served as a cornerstone of healthcare access in Kershaw County. This latest initiative builds upon that legacy, reflecting the organization’s ongoing commitment to providing essential medical services to community members in need.
The expanded eligibility criteria take effect immediately. Interested residents are encouraged to contact the clinic at 803-713-0806 to learn more about qualifying for services. To learn more about the CMC, go to http://www.cmcofkc.org.
