Camden Military Academy held a solemn military dress parade on Thursday, September 11, 2025, to honor the memory of all those lost during the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks and to recognize the service and sacrifice of local first responders. The parade, held on Martain Parade Field at 2:00 p.m., drew a remarkable turnout of firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, DNR, SC Highway Patrol and community members who gathered to show their support. Cadets marched in military dress before a large crowd, saluting the bravery of both the heroes of 9/11 and the first responders who continue to protect and serve Camden and Kershaw County. The event highlighted Camden Military Academy’s mission of instilling values of honor, duty, and respect in its cadets. With the strong presence of both first responders and community members, the ceremony became not only a remembrance of the past but also a living demonstration of unity and service.
