Camden’s Natalie Norris Announces Retirement

According to a release from the Kershaw County School District, Camden Head Girls Varsity Basketball Coach, Natalie Norris, has made the decision to retire from coaching. She will continue to be a valuable member of the Camden High School family, sharing her knowledge and passion in the classroom.

Norris played for Mike Culp at Camden HS from 1987-1992, and was named the 1992 South Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year during her senior season at Camden. She was a four-year letter winner from 1992-1996, playing for the University of South Carolina. Her first head coaching job right out of USC was at Thomas Sumter Academy from 1996-1999.

Norris bacame Camden High Varsity Girls Coach in 2011, achieving many accolades including AAA Lower State Champions during the 2021-2022 season, and AAA State Champions during the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 season. She was named the SC Basketball Coaches Association Coach of the Year in 2023.
