The Camden Bulldogs put on an offensive show Friday night at Zemp Stadium, rolling past the Swansea Tigers 62-14 in their region opener.
Camden wasted little time taking control. The Bulldogs built a commanding 41-7 halftime lead, allowing them to cruise through the second half on the way to their highest-scoring performance of the season.
The 62-point outburst continued a strong offensive season for Camden. The Bulldogs had previously scored 54 against A.C. Flora and 49 against Hartsville. Friday night’s victory improved Camden to 4-2 overall and 1-0 in region play.
The victory was also Camden’s fifth consecutive home win dating back to last season, with the Bulldogs averaging better than 49 points per game during that home winning streak.
Camden will now prepare for a big region road test Friday night when the Bulldogs travel to take on Gilbert, with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
For Camden, it was exactly the kind of performance the Bulldogs wanted to begin region play—an explosive offense, a comfortable victory and plenty of momentum heading into October.
