The City of Camden hosted a record-breaking Community Tree Planting Day Monday February 16th, with dozens of volunteers gathering at Scott Park and City Arena Park to help expand the city’s urban tree canopy. In total, 44 trees were planted, including Black Gum, Holly, Nuttall Oak, and Dawn Redwood, with two more scheduled once ground conditions improve. Camden City leaders thanked families, students, civic groups, and community partners for their support, calling the event a strong example of Camden’s commitment to environmental stewardship and long-term sustainability.
