According to WLTX News 19, a Camden man is in custody following a deadly shooting near Lake Murray earlier this week. The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department says 42-year-old Brian Vincemichael Ashford traveled to an apartment complex in the 2200 block of Lake Murray Boulevard early Monday morning, where investigators say he shot 43-year-old Raynard Brewington near the door of his apartment.
Lexington Co. Sheriff Jay Koon says the two men had recent confrontations after Ashford discovered they both had a relationship with the same woman. Ashford was arrested Wednesday and charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. He was booked into the Lexington County Detention Center early Thursday morning.
