Camden City Council to Hold Budget and Fee Hearings Tuesday

The Camden City Council will meet Tuesday evening June 2nd at 5:30 at City Hall, with the city’s proposed 2026-2027 budget taking center stage. Council will hold public hearings on both the annual budget and proposed utility fee adjustments before considering second reading approval. The proposed budget totals nearly 67 million dollars and includes a two percent increase in water, sewer, and sanitation rates. Council will also consider creating a new Historic Camden zoning district and rezoning Historic Camden properties to better support the site’s educational and historical mission. Special recognitions and public comments are also on the agenda. Camden City council meetings are open to the public.
