Camden City Council meets Tuesday evening April 7th, with a full agenda that includes major funding decisions and updates to city ordinances. One of the biggest items—an ordinance that would allow the city to move forward with an installment purchase agreement to fund construction, upgrades, and improvements to city hall and public safety facilities. Council will also take up changes to historic landmark regulations, including revisions to how members of the Historic Landmarks Commission are appointed and removed.
On the consent agenda, leaders are expected to address the appointment of a city prosecutor, along with filling a vacancy on the Historic Landmarks Commission and other related matters. In addition, council will hear public comments, receive a presentation from the equine advisory council, and recognize April 22nd as Earth Day in Camden through an official proclamation. The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. at Camden City Hall and is open to the public.
