The City of Camden has installed a new 24-hour, self-service pet microchip scanner station at Rectory Square to help reunite lost pets with their families.
Residents who find a lost pet can use the station to scan the animal for a microchip. If one is detected, the scanner displays an identification number that can be used to locate the appropriate registry and contact the pet’s owner. Step-by-step instructions are available at the station. The project was made possible in part through a contribution from Camden City Councilman William Wilkes.
