Candlelight Vigil to Honor Columbia Police Officer Christopher DeLong Jr. in Elgin

According to the Town of Elgin Facebook page, a candlelight vigil will be held Wednesday, September 2, to honor and remember Columbia Police Officer Christopher DeLong Junior. The vigil will begin at 7 p.m. at the Elgin Community Center, located at 2427 Main Street. DeLong’s end of watch was August 29. The community is invited to gather Wednesday evening to remember his life and honor his service.
