Kershaw County Council will meet Tuesday, August 25th, at 6 p.m. at the Kershaw County Government Center in Camden. Council’s agenda includes several zoning and land-development matters, including proposed changes involving directional signs for hospitals and medical facilities and requirements for certain exempt subdivisions.
Council will also review county human resources policies, receive an update on the Black River ramp extension and consider an appointment to the Kershaw County First Steps Board of Trustees.
Also on the agenda is first reading of a proposed 12-month moratorium on new data centers, data processing facilities and cryptocurrency mining operations while county officials consider potential regulations. The meeting is open to the public and streams live at the county’s YouTube channel.
