The North Central Knights will kick off the 2026 high school football season a day earlier than planned after Friday night’s season opener was moved to Thursday because of the threat of inclement weather.
North Central will welcome the Dreher Blue Devils to Knights Stadium tonight in what promises to be an exciting start to the new campaign. The schedule change was made to help ensure the game can be played safely while avoiding the potential for severe weather expected to move through the area on Friday.
The Knights enter the season looking to build momentum from preseason workouts, while Dreher will be aiming to begin the year with a road victory.
Fans who can’t make it to the stadium can catch every play live on 98.7 FM Carolina Country Classics. Airtime is set for 7:30 p.m., with complete pregame coverage leading into kickoff as the Knights open another exciting season of high school football.
