Early voting begins August 5th for South Carolina’s August 11th Special Republican Primary for the U.S. Senate. Early voting will be held August 5th through 7th from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Camden City Arena. Election officials remind voters who cast a ballot in June’s Democratic Primary are not eligible to vote in this Republican primary. Those who voted in the June Republican Primary—or who did not vote in either June primary—may participate. The deadline to request an absentee ballot is Friday, July 31, at 5 p.m. For more information, contact the Kershaw County Voter Registration Office.
