Lugoff-Elgin Middle School has named Chelsea Pedersen as its new assistant principal. Pedersen joins the school from Westwood High School in Richland School District Two, where she has served as an assistant administrator since 2023 after seven years as a teacher and coach. Principal LaKeisha Lawrence says Pedersen brings energy, collaboration, and a strong commitment to students. Pedersen says she’s excited to support students, staff, and families as she begins her new role at Lugoff-Elgin Middle School.
