The Kershaw County Coroner’s Office has identified the two women who died following a Lake Wateree incident on Friday, July 3. Authorities say 27-year-old Elena Walrod was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency crews responded to a Liberty Hill address for a report of two possible drownings. Thirty-four-year-old Hannah Riley was taken to a Camden hospital, where she later died. Coroner David West says the incident remains under investigation, and the official causes of death are pending the results of autopsies.
