Kershaw County Council to Consider Budget, Bonds and New Policies

The Kershaw County Council will meet Tuesday evening June 23rd with several major items on the agenda, including final approval of the county’s 2026-2027 budget and a proposed two-million-dollar bond issue for wastewater infrastructure and other capital projects. Council members will also consider updates to building code regulations, hear a presentation on South Carolina courthouses by author Clay Young, and discuss new human resources policies. Other agenda items include the Lugoff Fire Department’s annual budget, standardized hours for county convenience centers, budget amendments, and recommendations from the county’s accommodations tax committee. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the Kershaw County Government Center in Camden. It is open to the public and streams live at the county’s YouTube channel.
