A major piece of Revolutionary War history is returning home to Camden. The City of Camden and the South Carolina American Revolution Trust will officially unveil a historic painting depicting the Battle of Hobkirk’s Hill during a special ceremony May 18th at the Revolutionary War Visitor Center. The artwork by Pamela Patrick White captures a key moment from the 1781 battle and will be placed on public display for the next several years. The day also includes a ribbon cutting for a new battlefield interpretation site. Events begin at 11 a.m., with transportation available from the Visitor Center on Broad Street.
