The African American Cultural Center of Camden is showcasing top student projects from this year’s Kershaw County School District Heritage Tea program. First-place entries from grades 3 through 8 are now on display at the center on York Street through May 15th, highlighting research on influential African American figures. Visitors can also explore a new exhibit focused on post-emancipation history, and take part in a special Scan Day on May 2nd to preserve local photos and stories. The African American Cultural Center is open Fridays and Saturdays to the public.
