Job seekers across the region will have a major opportunity later this month as the Santee-Lynches Regional Council of Governments hosts the Sumter County Job Fair. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, April 22nd at the Sumter County Civic Center on West Liberty Street. Doors will open early from 9 to 9:30 a.m. for veterans, with the general public admitted starting at 9:30. The job fair will run through noon.
Organizers say up to 80 employers are expected to participate, including major companies and local agencies, all looking to connect with job seekers and fill open positions. The event is free to attend and designed to benefit both employers and the community by strengthening the local workforce.
