Kershaw County has announced the promotion of Zackary Hoover as the new Director of Planning and Zoning. County officials say Hoover worked his way up from Permit Technician to department leadership, bringing years of hands-on experience.
In previous roles as Planning and Development Manager and Senior Planner, Hoover oversaw zoning, land development, and regulatory operations while working closely with staff, developers, and the public. Leaders say his background, including service in the Air Force, positions him to guide the county’s growth and planning efforts moving forward. Hoover says he’s honored to take on the role and looks forward to continuing to serve Kershaw County residents.
