The Lugoff Access Area below the dam off Tail Race Road will be closed to the public starting March 31st through April 10th. Officials say the closure is necessary for overhead line work and is being enforced for safety reasons. No public access will be allowed during that time, and anyone entering the area could face trespassing charges. The site is expected to reopen on April 11th. Authorities are asking for the public’s cooperation during the temporary closure.
