The City of Camden says a new cooperative purchasing partnership will help turn everyday city purchases into community reinvestment. Through participation in the nonprofit CarolinaBUY program, Camden will receive rebates on certain purchases made through nationally solicited contracts. City Manager Matt DeWitt says the program helps the city save time and money while remaining compliant with state purchasing rules. Officials say a portion of those savings will be reinvested into local events, traditions, and community experiences. City leaders say the goal is to strengthen Camden’s economy while supporting activities that bring residents and visitors together throughout the year.
