The South Carolina Department of Transportation is announcing two upcoming bridge repairs in Kershaw County. According to SCDOT, the bridge on SC-341, or Bethune Road, over the Little Lynches River will close on Monday March 2nd for about one week, with traffic expected to resume by Friday.
In addition, the bridge on S-28-15, also known as Old Stagecoach Road, over the Lynches River at the Kershaw and Chesterfield County line will close March 9th for approximately three weeks, with reopening expected by March 27th.
Detours will be clearly marked, and school districts have been notified to adjust bus routes as needed. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
