You’re invited to step into history and watch it being uncovered in real time. On March 6th from 1 until 3 p.m., Historic Camden will host “Meet the Archaeologists,” featuring the American Veterans Archaeological Recovery team. Visitors can take part in a 25-minute walking tour to see the team excavating areas of interest and conducting a geophysical survey tied to the colonial townsite and British occupation of Camden. Tours begin in the Historic Camden parking lot and will cross Broad Street together to reach the dig site. Guests should wear appropriate footwear for grass and possible mud, and tours will be held rain or shine as long as conditions are safe. Tickets are free, and donations are appreciated.
