Kershaw County Council will meet Tuesday evening, February 10th, at 6 o’clock at the County Government Center in Camden. Council members are scheduled to recognize National Black History Month with a formal proclamation during the meeting. Public comment and public hearings are also on the agenda, including multiple zoning and land-use ordinances across the county. Council will consider amendments related to rezoning requests, regulations for boat landings on public waters, and updated rules for the sale and retail display of nitrous oxide and kratom. Another ordinance addresses zoning standards for businesses selling hemp-derived cannabinoid products.
Following the public portion of the meeting, council is expected to enter executive session to discuss contract negotiations and legal matters as permitted by state law. The meeting is open to the public and streams live at the county’s YouTube channel.
