According to Kershaw County Coroner David West, 911 received a call at 3:28 Friday morning, February 5th, reporting a house fire in the Camden area. When fire crews arrived on the scene off Bishopville Highway, the home was already fully engulfed and had burned to the ground.
The coroner says one person was found inside the residence and was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim has been identified as 65-year-old Ronnie Grant of Camden. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
