Fifth-grade students from Horse Creek Academy Kershaw traveled to the South Carolina State House on Wednesday to take part in a statewide rally supporting expanded educational options. The event, held during National School Choice Week, brought together students, parents, and educators urging lawmakers to strengthen parental choice in education. School leaders say the trip gave students a voice in the discussion, emphasizing that a child’s zip code should not determine the quality of their education.
Horse Creek Academy Kershaw is a tuition-free public charter school serving students in Kershaw County and surrounding communities.
