Statewide Burning Ban in Effect

According to Governor Henry McMaster who has declared a State of Emergency, a statewide burning ban is now in effect due to dangerous wildfire conditions. If you get caught starting a fire outside, you will go to jail, period. Firefighters and First Responders are risking their lives to contain many fires across the state. According to the State Fire Marshal, there are ongoing response operations to more than 175 wildfires, impacting 4,200 acres across the state, including Horry, Spartanburg, Oconee, Union, and Pickens Counties primarily due to dry, windy conditions.Pay attention to official emergency sources and call 911 to report any issues.
