The countdown to high school football is almost over as the 50th Annual Camden Shrine Club Football Jamboree kicks off Friday, August 14, at historic Zemp Stadium in Camden.
Fans will get a first look at six Midlands teams in three mini-games beginning at 6:30 p.m. The opener features North Central taking on Calhoun County, followed by Lugoff-Elgin battling Orangeburg-Wilkinson at 7:30. The night concludes with host Camden facing Blythewood at approximately 8:30.
The annual event has become one of the Midlands’ premier preseason traditions, giving players and coaches a chance to fine-tune for the regular season while fans get an early preview of what promises to be an exciting year on the gridiron.
