An 18-year-old wanted in connection with an August shooting is in custody following a three-hour search Friday morning in Elgin.
Kershaw County deputies and SLED agents were serving a search warrant at a home on Eskie Dixon Road when authorities say Elijah Aarion Fisher ran from the back porch into nearby woods. Deputies established a perimeter, while a SLED helicopter, Kershaw County Fire Service drone and KCSO K9 units joined the search. Authorities say Fisher attempted to break through the perimeter about three hours later and was arrested without further incident. Three firearms were recovered from the residence.
Fisher faces two counts of attempted murder, discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle, criminal conspiracy and a weapons charge stemming from the August 29 shooting. Additional charges are pending.
